Types of Diabetes Mellitus:
In this article, I would like to share the types of Diabetes Mellitus.
There are 3 types of Diabetes.
- Type1 Diabetes
- Type 2 Diabetes
- Gestational Diabetes

Type 1 Diabetes:

This is caused by autoimmune reaction, where body is not producing insulin as it needed. This disease can be seen generally in children or young adults.
Type 2 Diabetes:

This is a common type of Diabetes. It occurs in adults. But now due to current lifestyles, it can occur in any age group. Insulin resistance and progressive hyperglycemia-induced beta cell destruction is the main cause of this Diabetes.
Gestational Diabetes:

Women who develop a resistance to insulin and subsequent high blood glucose during 9 months of pregnancy are said to be Gestational Diabetes
In general 3 to 7 % of women during her pregnancy suffer from this type of Diabetes
